Football Recap: Brookfield Bobcats vs. Stratford Red Devils        
        
		
             Brookfield won against Bullard-Havens  last Friday with 42  points and they decided to stick to that  point total again  on Friday. The Brookfield Bobcats really took it to the Stratford Red Devils for the full four quarters, racking up  a  42-7 victory at home. The Bobcats'  win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet  this season.
  Michael Walters continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 198 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  rushing yards. Brookfield also got help from  Derrick Scott, who showed off his sure hands for 96  receiving yards.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Brookfield was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 342  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 171  rushing yards in ten consecutive  contests  dating back to last season.
 Brookfield didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Donovan Loranger. Brookfield got some further help from  Chase Sylvia: he made 14 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
 Brookfield's record is now 4-0. As for Stratford,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
 Brookfield will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bunnell at 6:30  p.m.  on October 18th. Brookfield knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with 31 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Bunnell likes a good challenge. Stratford will also get a bit of a break before their next  matchup: they'll face off against Joel Barlow at 7:00  p.m.  on October 18th.
