Volleyball Recap: Anna Poliakoff and Anouk Barnes Secure Win for Porter-Gaud

Porter-Gaud waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Charleston Collegiate Sundevils 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-11, 25-17.

Porter-Gaud was led to victory by Anouk Barnes and Anna Poliakoff. Barnes had eight digs and one assist, while Poliakoff had four digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Poliakoff a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Porter-Gaud was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are 7-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

The win got Porter-Gaud back to even at 10-10. As for Charleston Collegiate, they moved to 7-7 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Porter-Gaud wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Legion Collegiate Academy on the 26th. As for Charleston Collegiate, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Crown Leadership Academy on the 26th.
