After a string of 18 wins dating back to last season, Yutan's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 41-34 to the Arlington Eagles. The loss was the Chieftains' first of the season.

Several Chieftains players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mylee Tichota, who posted 13 points and five rebounds. Tichota has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Amelia Dieckman, who had 11 points and seven rebounds.

Britt Nielsen was the offensive standout of the contest as she dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2023. Macy Wolf was another key player, putting up nine points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Yutan fell to 2-1. As for Arlington, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Yutan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 41-34 win against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder on the 12th. As for Arlington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-34 victory against Brownell Talbot on the 14th.
