Burlington-Edison waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Oak Harbor Wildcats 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Burlington-Edison got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 30-28, 25-10.

Brooklyn Weynands paced Burlington-Edison's offense, picking up 15 kills. Weynands got some help from Reese Tyler and her 35 assists. Mikala Shaw controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Burlington-Edison's victory bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Oak Harbor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Burlington-Edison is set to face off against their familiar foe Nooksack Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Oak Harbor will take on rival Lynden at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
