Rodriguez entered their tilt with River City on Wednesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They snuck past the River City Raiders with a 77-71 victory. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th, while the Raiders are ranked 797th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rodriguez to victory, but perhaps none more so than Khamanni Martin, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 18 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Adimora, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Rodriguez smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Rodriguez's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of three points across that stretch. As for River City, they moved to 5-12 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Rodriguez didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 90-63 victory against Pioneer on the 10th. As for River City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 80-27 loss against Sacramento on the 10th.
