Soccer Game Preview: San Marcos vs. Ramona

The San Marcos Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Ramona Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

If Ramona heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when San Marcos took over last week. San Marcos' defense stepped up to hand Fallbrook a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. That two goal margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

Meanwhile, Ramona has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 16. They and Valley Center finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday.

Tommy Iglesias and Fabian Martinez scored both of Ramona's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Ramona's draw makes their record 6-8-5 this season. As for San Marcos, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6-8.
