Recap: Moffat Cowboys vs. Primero Bulldogs
It was a good run, but the Moffat Cowboys unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 47-36 to Primero. Moffat has struggled against Primero recently, as their match on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Ziah Pesqueira and Noble Cole certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Pesqueira scored 20 points along with seven steals and six rebounds, while Cole scored nine points along with 15 rebounds and three steals. Pesqueira is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season.
Primero's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mathew Pachorek , who scored 17 points. The game was Pachorek 's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brett Kendal , who scored 14 points.
Moffat's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-1. As for Primero, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Moffat will head out on the road to face off against Antonito at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Allowing an average of 53 points per game, Antonito has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this match. Primero will be home for the holidays to greet Hanover at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
