Basketball Recap: MacDonald Takes a Loss

MacDonald was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cupertino Pioneers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Condor this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-39 back in January.

Cupertino was led to victory by Houma Yoshimochi and Nathan Crawford. Yoshimochi went 6 for 9 on his way to 14 points, while Crawford went 6 of 11 en route to 16 points. The dominant performance gave Yoshimochi a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jason Shi, who posted nine points.

MacDonald's record is now 8-11. As for Cupertino, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-14 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. MacDonald has already played their next game (against Santa Clara), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cupertino is taking a road trip to take on Lynbrook at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
