Basketball Recap: Penney Comes Up Short

Penney lost against Mid-Buchanan back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Penney Hornets were beaten by the Mid-Buchanan Dragons 84-46.

Penney's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Mid-Buchanan, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Penney will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cameron at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Mid-Buchanan, they and Maysville will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Maysville will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Mid-Buchanan surely won't give up without a fight.
