It's playoff time, and Eaglecrest had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 32-10 margin over the Legacy Lightning on Friday. Considering the Raptors have won five games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Eaglecrest found their leader in sophomore Clyde Surrell, who rushed for 162 yards and three scores, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. Surrell was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards. William Brinkman helped out on the ground, rushing for 90 yards.

Eaglecrest was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 271 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

It was truly a group effort as Cameron Bell, Jasiri (JT) Ginane, and Cooper Shaw picked up one apiece. Shaw also made five total tackles, which is notable because Eaglecrest is undefeated when he posts at least four total tackles, but 2-4 otherwise. Shaw got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

With the win, Eaglecrest broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-4. As for Legacy, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-5 record.

Eaglecrest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-0 defeat against Mountain Vista on the 14th. Legacy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
