Soccer Game Preview: Dunn vs. Cate

The Dunn Earwigs will venture away from home to take on the Cate Rams at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Cate better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Dunn really get things going. Dunn never let Bishop Diego onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Earwigs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meanwhile, Cate put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Thacher 5-0. It was an even better day for George Marin as he scored three goals for his team.

Something new happened on Thursday as Miles Thompson saw his first action of the season, playing ten minutes against Thacher. Thompson made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Cate's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-0. As for Dunn, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

Dunn might still be hurting after the 7-2 loss they got from Cate in their previous matchup last Tuesday. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Dunn was down 4-1.
