Mt. Pleasant is 3-0 against Benton since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Mt. Pleasant Panthers duke it out with the Benton Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses dating back to last season for Mt. Pleasant and six for Benton dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Mt. Pleasant came up short against Fort Madison and fell 47-37.

Meanwhile, Benton came up short against Solon on Friday, falling 66-46.

Benton's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mt. Pleasant, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything came up roses for Mt. Pleasant against Benton in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the squad secured an 83-39 win. Will Mt. Pleasant repeat their success, or does Benton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
