Photos: Projected NBA Draft Lottery pick James Wiseman in high school

James Wiseman, who starred at Ensworth (Nashville, Tenn.) and later for Memphis East (Memphis, Tenn.), is projected to be the No. 8 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, according to the recent CBS Sports HQ Mock Draft.

During his junior season, the 7-foot-1 center averaged 18.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.8 blocks while leading Memphis East to the TSSAA Class AAA state championship. Wiseman earned MaxPreps Junior All-American third team honors.

As as senior, Wiseman averaged 25.8 points, 14.8 rebounds and 5.5 blocks. The Mustangs finished as TSSSA Class AAA runner-up despite Wiseman posting 24 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks in the championship game. He was selected to the MaxPreps All-American first team.

He shared MVP accolades with Cole Anthony at the Jordan Brand Classic. Anthony is projected to also be among the top players selected in the 2020 NBA Draft.
