Soccer Recap: Modesto Comes Up Short

Modesto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 4-2 to the Turlock Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1001st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 152nd).

Modesto's loss dropped their record down to 1-13-3. As for Turlock, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5-2 record this season.

Modesto will be playing at home against Enochs at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Modesto is facing Enochs at the right time seeing as Enochs is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Turlock, they will head out on the road to take on Downey at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Downey has won five straight at home, while Turlock won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
