Soccer Game Preview: Worth County vs. Jeff Davis

The Worth County Rams will head out to square off against the Jeff Davis Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Worth County will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Worth County took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Colquitt County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Worth County beat Colquitt County by a goal, winning 3-2.

Brooklyn Youngblood and Shermiah Donaldson scored all three of Worth County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 35 goals.

Meanwhile, Jeff Davis kept a clean sheet against Coffee on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Trojans. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Jeff Davis were the better team in the second half.

Jeff Davis pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those five matchups. As for Worth County, their record is now 11-3.

Worth County was able to grind out a solid win over Jeff Davis when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 3-1. Will Worth County repeat their success, or does Jeff Davis has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
