It was a good run, but Oak Forest unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Manteno Panthers and fell 63-36. While losing is never fun, the Bengals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Panthers are ranked 140th).

Oak Forest's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Manteno, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Oak Forest will be taking part in a tournament against Stagg at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Manteno and Chicago Marshall will compete for holiday cheer at 11:45 a.m. on Monday.
