Basketball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Kim/Branson

There's no place like home for Kim/Branson, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They strolled past the Trinidad Miners with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 62-48. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 64-34 back in December of 2024.

Kim/Branson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Gamez, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 16 points and seven steals. That's the most steals Gamez has posted since back in November of 2023. Cameron Rosas was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 10 points in addition to seven assists and five steals.

Kim/Branson's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Trinidad, their record now sits at 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kim/Branson will square off against Sierra Grande at 4:30 p.m. on January 18th. As for Trinidad, they will challenge Del Norte at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
