They never let the Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology Lions onto the board and left with a 14-0 victory. Considering Emerson has won seven contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Sophia Centeno made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out ten over 4.2 innings pitched. Centeno was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI and a double.
In other batting news, Emerson got a massive performance out of Joanna Vigna, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Alyssa Gabriele was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
