Baseball Game Preview: Quitman Bulldogs vs. Concord Pirates

The Quitman Bulldogs will take on the Concord Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Quitman lost 18-11 to Conway Christian on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 21 runs the game before, Concord was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against West Side, falling 14-1.

Quitman's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Concord, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Quitman came out on top in a nail-biter against Concord when the teams last played back in March of 2017, sneaking past 7-6. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
