Baseball Recap: Oswego East Takes a Loss

Oswego East fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Ballard on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 5-2 to the Bruins. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nick Brennan was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Oswego East saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dominic Battista, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Oswego East's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Ballard, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 20-0.

Looking ahead, Oswego East will square off against Providence Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ballard, they will challenge Kentucky Country Day at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
