Baseball Recap: Philipsburg-Osceola's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

If Philipsburg-Osceola was riding high fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Clearfield on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mountaineers fell just short of the Punxsutawney Chucks by a score of 10-9 on Thursday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Mountaineers, who until this match were averaging 3.75 runs allowed.

Fischer White made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Archer Baughman, who went 2-for-3 with three runs.
