Refugio has gone 9-1 against Kenedy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Refugio Bobcats face off against Kenedy Lions at 6:00 p.m.

Refugio fell victim to Woodsboro and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Bobcats have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Meanwhile, Kenedy came tearing into Monday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Longhorns by a score of 7-3.

Marisabel Solis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Kayla Salas was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Jackson, who scored two runs and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-4.

Kenedy pushed their record up to 12-5-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Refugio, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Refugio skirted past Kenedy 8-7 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will Refugio repeat their success, or does Kenedy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
