Academy of the Holy Names has gone 8-2 against Tampa Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Academy of the Holy Names Jaguars will square off against the Tampa Catholic Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Academy of the Holy Names is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Winthrop College Prep Academy onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Jaguars have won five contests by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Winthrop College Prep Academy from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Carolina Ward led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous five contests, Tampa Catholic brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They put the hurt on Tarpon Springs with a sharp 6-1 win on Friday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Crusaders' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

The victory (which was Academy of the Holy Names' fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-2-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those four games. As for Tampa Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 7-11-1.

Academy of the Holy Names was able to grind out a solid victory over Tampa Catholic when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Academy of the Holy Names since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
