Basketball Recap: Sheffield Takes a Loss

Sheffield lost against DuBois Central Catholic back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sheffield Wolverines were outmatched by the DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals and fell 63-34. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sheffield's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for DuBois Central Catholic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Sheffield and DuBois Central Catholic could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Sheffield will take on Johnsonburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 390 places (721 vs. 331). Meanwhile, DuBois Central Catholic (ranked 361st) will meet Cameron County (ranked 178th) at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
