North Port had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Port Charlotte Pirates with a sharp 17-1 win. The Bobcats not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 5, 2024.

Kaitlin Kohlenberg was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing Five bases. while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cailinne Kelly, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

North Port always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Port Charlotte only posted an OBP of .190.

Port Charlotte's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

North Port has already played their next match, an 8-2 defeat against North Fort Myers on the 25th. As for Port Charlotte, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 19-4 loss against Lemon Bay on the 25th.
