Baseball Game Preview: Limon Badgers vs. Holyoke Dragons

Limon has gone a perfect 5-0 against Holyoke recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Badgers will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Dragons at 1:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Limon's favor as the team sits on 15 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Holyoke has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

On Tuesday, Limon made easy work of Byers and carried off a 13-5 win. That looming 13-5 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Badgers yet this season.

Aiden Kollath made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Dreison Davis was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braxten Churchwell, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Holyoke came up short against Wiggins on Monday, falling 18-1.

Limon's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Holyoke, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Limon beat Holyoke 8-3 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Badgers repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
