Softball Recap: Reedy Beats Wakeland for Their Eighth Straight Win

Reedy came tearing into Saturday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Wakeland Wolverines. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-7 on March 4th.

Reedy got a great performance from Addison Daudelin as she tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits.

At the plate, Abby Jackson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Megan Lau was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.

Reedy pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Wakeland, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-4.

Looking ahead, Reedy will face off against Creekview at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Creekview will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Wakeland, they will square off against The Colony at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
