Fisher waltzed into their contest on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the A.J. Ellender Patriots. That's two games straight that the Gators have won by just one run.

Charles Shamp was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Fisher's record now sits at 9-2-1. As for A.J. Ellender, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Coming up, Fisher will square off against East Jefferson at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (East Jefferson has won three straight at home, while Fisher won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for A.J. Ellender, they will take on Haynes Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
