Basketball Recap: Lake Buena Vista Vipers vs. Titusville Terriers
The Lake Buena Vista Vipers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 62-19 loss at the hands of Titusville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lake Buena Vista has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Lake Buena Vista still got an impressive performance from Remmy Santana, who scored five points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryan Mwangovya, who scored seven points.
It was another big night for Davionte Strozier, who scored 14 points along with five steals for Titusville. Another player making a difference was Peter Christie, who scored ten points.
Lake Buena Vista has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Titusville, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.
Lake Buena Vista will head out on the road to face off against the Thunder at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Lake Region focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Saturday. As for Titusville, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Vipers at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Space Coast will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 626th, while the Terriers are ranked 292nd).
