Basketball Game Preview: Incarnate Word Academy Falcons vs. Cypress Christian Warriors

After both having extra time off, the Incarnate Word Academy Falcons and the Cypress Christian Warriors will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Incarnate Word Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Northland Christian two weeks ago. Incarnate Word Academy took a 42-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northland Christian. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Cypress Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Fort Bend Christian Academy two weeks ago and fell 47-44. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Incarnate Word Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Cypress Christian, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Things could have been worse for Incarnate Word Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 33-19 loss to Cypress Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2023.
