Basketball Recap: Merritt Comes Up Short

Merritt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 41-32 to the Hobart Bearcats. The Oilers lost against the Bearcats in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 57-24 score last time.

Merritt's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Hobart, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-10.

As of now, neither Merritt nor Hobart have any future games scheduled.
