Volleyball Game Preview: Leland Chargers vs. Piedmont Hills Pirates

The Leland Chargers will venture away from home to face off against the Piedmont Hills Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leland has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight defeats, while Piedmont Hills will come in with three straight wins.

On Thursday, Leland came up short against Branham and fell 3-1.

While Leland ultimately came up short, they really made Branham work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-18, 24-26, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Piedmont Hills made easy work of Del Mar last Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Piedmont Hills never let Del Mar on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 25-20.

Leland's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Piedmont Hills, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Leland skirted past Piedmont Hills 3-2 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
