Baseball Recap: Pearl-Cohn Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Pearl-Cohn's offense. They came up short against the Hillsboro Burros on Tuesday, falling 17-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Firebirds in their meetings with the Burros: they've now lost three in a row.

Pearl-Cohn's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Hillsboro, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Pearl-Cohn will take on Maplewood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Firebirds are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Hillsboro, they will square off against Franklin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
