Volleyball Recap: Forbush Takes a Loss

Forbush had taken Starmount down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Falcons fell just short of the Rams by a score of 3-2. The Falcons' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Forbush wouldn't go down easily and took Starmount into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 21-25, 19-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Emery Sunderman paced Forbush's offense, picking up 17 kills. Sunderman got some help from Kendyl Berrier and her 35 assists. Berrier was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Forbush now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Starmount, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Forbush didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Mount Tabor on the 4th. As for Starmount, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against West Wilkes on the 4th.
