Baseball Recap: Fultondale Comes Up Short

Fultondale fell victim to Dora and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Dora Bulldogs, falling 8-0. The Wildcats have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

Fultondale's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Dora, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

Looking ahead, Fultondale will take on Westminster School at Oak Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Westminster School at Oak Mountain's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Fultondale's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Carbon Hill has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.77 runs per game on average), something Dora will no doubt try to take advantage of.
