Life Center Academy wins going away against NC GBB Academy National

Recap: Life Center Academy Warriors vs. NC GBB Academy National Eagles

Even though the NC GBB Academy National Eagles scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, the Life Center Academy Warriors still came out on top. Life Center Academy strolled past the Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 74-56. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Life Center Academy.

Life Center Academy had a senior duo take command as Kiyomi McMiller scored 32 points along with six assists and six rebounds and Karma Payne scored 25 points along with six rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which McMiller has scored at least a third of Life Center Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Alma Hadziresic, who scored five points along with four steals.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tia Bryant, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bryant has scored all season. Madison Pounds was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five assists.

Life Center Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. As for NC GBB Academy National, they now have a losing record at 12-13.

Life Center Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on February 23rd. Mt. Zion Prep Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Warriors in their respective states (the Warriors are ranked eighth in Maryland, while the Warriors are ranked 58th in New Jersey). As for NC GBB Academy National, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fighting Pharaohs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
