Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Tucker Fennel and Jasper Sallee Lead Osawatomie to Victory

Osawatomie won the last time they faced West Franklin and things went their way on Friday too. The Osawatomie Trojans strolled past the West Franklin Falcons with points to spare, taking the game 67-51. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Leading Osawatomie to victory were Jasper Sallee and Tucker Fennel. Sallee dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 rebounds, while Fennel went 8 for 16 on his way to 19 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Fennel has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Troy Mosley, who posted seven points and five assists.

Osawatomie has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for West Franklin, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-9.

Osawatomie will face off against Iola at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Franklin, they will take on Waverly on Tuesday.
