Laney has gone a perfect 10-0 against North Brunswick recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Buccaneers will face off against the Scorpions at 6:00 p.m. North Brunswick took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Laney, who comes in off a win.

Laney's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over New Hanover. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Laney's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 48th, while New Hanover are ranked 286th).

Lucy Lauber and Olivia Duleba scored both of Laney's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, North Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to South Brunswick. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly North Brunswick struggled afterwards.

Laney's win bumped their record up to 6-4-2. As for North Brunswick, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Laney took their victory against North Brunswick in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Buccaneers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Scorpions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
