Basketball Recap: Mountain Heritage Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Mountain Heritage had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 47-46 to the West Henderson Falcons. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

West Henderson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cooper Lowrance led the charge by putting up seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, Lowrance now owns an excellent 50% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Christ, who posted 15 points.

The win made it two in a row for West Henderson and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Coming up, Mountain Heritage is taking a road trip to face off against Erwin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Henderson, they will be playing at home against Hendersonville at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
