Volleyball Recap: Nipmuc Regional Picks Up Ninth Straight Win at Home

Nipmuc Regional had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Norwood Mustangs 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in April.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-20.

Logan DeMarzo paced Nipmuc Regional's offense, picking up 14 kills. DeMarzo got some help from Dolan Comforti and his 29 assists. Comforti was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Nipmuc Regional pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Norwood, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nipmuc Regional will head out to square off against Millis at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Norwood, they will venture away from home to take on Norton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
