Baseball Recap: Niles West Comes Up Short

Niles West lost against Maine South back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wolves fell 7-4 to the Hawks. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Niles West saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Lee, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Niles West now has a losing record of 16-17. As for Maine South, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-14 record this season.

Niles West will challenge Palatine at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Maine South, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lemont at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
