There's no place like home for Hickory, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Oscar Smith Tigers by a score of 47-35 on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 47-34 back in December of 2024.

Zyonna Ellis and Reanna Keaton certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Ellis went 5 for 9 en route to 10 points in addition to seven boards and three blocks, while Keaton posted ten points and seven rebounds. Ellis is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last four games she's played.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 6-10. As for Oscar Smith, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Hickory has already played their next matchup, a 48-43 defeat against Western Branch on the 4th. As for Oscar Smith, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-45 win against Lakeland on the 4th.
