Softball Recap: Lutheran Northwest Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Lutheran Northwest entered their tilt with Lutheran on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 22-1 margin over the Warriors. Considering the Crusaders have won eight matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Eva Hauss was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, Alyssa Parets was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. Kendall Wargo was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.

Lutheran Northwest's record now sits at 13-7. As for Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Lutheran Northwest will venture away from home to face off against Oakland Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lutheran, they will welcome Canton Preparatory at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
