Mojave has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 11.29 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They fell to the Clark Chargers 31-25. Despite 101 more yards than the Chargers, the Rattlers couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Despite the defeat, Mojave saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jeremya Umbles rushed for 153 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries. Those 153 rushing yards gave Umbles a new career-high.

As for Clark, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 26-6 victory against Amplus Academy on the 30th.
