Preview: Valley Mills Eagles vs. Frost Polar Bears
The Valley Mills Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Frost Polar Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Mills has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Valley Mills, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-39 loss to Italy. Valley Mills has struggled against Italy recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though Frost has not done well against Hamilton recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Frost secured a 59-55 W over Hamilton. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Valley Mills' defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 9-15. As for Frost, their victory bumped their record up to 10-15.
Everything came up roses for Valley Mills against Frost when the teams last played back in January of 2021 as the squad secured a 64-29 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Valley Mills since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
