Overton waltzed into their game on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-11 W against the Beckville Bearcats. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by just one run.

Rylan Holleman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Brown, who went 1-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.

Overton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Beckville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Overton is set to face off against their familiar foe Elysian Fields at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Beckville will take on rival Ore City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
