Volleyball Recap: Preble Shawnee Comes Up Short

Preble Shawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Dixie Greyhounds, falling 3-0. The Arrows were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Greyhounds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Sallie Montgomery paced Preble Shawnee's offense, picking up five kills. Montgomery really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six. Bentlee McCain controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Preble Shawnee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Dixie, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coincidentally, Preble Shawnee and Dixie will both be playing Arcanum the next time they take the court. The Arrows will host the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Greyhounds will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on the 11th.
