Nansemond River had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Oscar Smith Tigers on Tuesday as they made off with a 14-3 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 11 runs or more this season.

Cheyenne Lawrence tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Ashlyn Pociask was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kiera McAdams, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI.

Nansemond River was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory got Nansemond River back to even at 6-6. As for Oscar Smith, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9.
