St. John's skates past St. Henry with ease

Recap: St. John's Bluejays vs. St. Henry Redskins

The St. John's Bluejays waltzed into their matchup on Friday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They really took it to St. Henry for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-41 victory at home. St. John's has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, St. Henry still got an impressive performance from Evan Bowers, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Bowers has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caden Bergman, who scored six points along with five rebounds.

St. John's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for St. Henry, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-4.

St. John's won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Dunbar at 1:30 p.m. on February 10th. One thing working in St. John's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. As for St. Henry, they and Van Wert will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. St. Henry is facing Van Wert at the right time seeing as Van Wert is stuck on a eight-game losing streak.
