Softball Recap: Joliet Central Comes Up Short

Joliet Central fell victim to Plainfield East and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Bengals, falling 32-0. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Steelmen's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Joliet Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haydn Voss, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one double.

Joliet Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Plainfield East, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6.

Coincidentally, Joliet Central and Plainfield East will both be playing Plainfield Central the next time they take the field. The Bengals will head out to face the Wildcats at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, while the Steelmen will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
